2023 Old Vine Shiraz: exclusively from the Sandy Corner Block of the Wait vineyard. 2023 was a cool and dry year, and this vineyard in particular loved this growing season. It’s an unirrigated vineyard, so especially with a few consecutive years of drought the yields were pretty low, but the grapes were nice and healthy going into harvest season and the fruit was able to hang out late into March and really develop flavour without accumulating more sugar. Crushed and destemmed, no adds except SO₂, matured in old oak barrels. 220 6pks produced.
